The Main and Science Libraries will be closed on Saturday, September 23 for the home football game - UGA vs. Mississippi State University. The Main and Science Libraries will resume their regular semester hours on Sunday, September 24.
emergency news: The MLC is open Monday September 11th until 10pm, and will reopen on Tuesday September 12th at Noon. Unless there is a change in the weather, we anticipate that normal hours (open 24 hours) will resume at that point.

The University of Georgia Libraries are hosting a Capturing Science Contest to encourage STEM learning in a diverse range of formats and genres. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for $1,500 in prizes.
Participants will explain a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concept to a broader audience using any media.
“Any and all formats, media, and genres are encouraged,” said Chandler Christoffel, instruction & research librarian. “Essays, board games, virtual reality, videos, music, software, apps, curricula, lesson plans, poems, infographics, fiction, and exhibits are all accepted!”
Prizes will be awarded in two separate categories for undergraduate and graduate students:

Monday thru Thursday - 7:30am to 2am
Friday - 7:30am to 9pm
Saturday - 10am to 7pm
Sunday - 1pm to 2am
This weekend (June 16-18), the UGA campus will be switching to a new payment system for printing/copying (Atrium). The card readers on the public copiers and microform printers will be replaced with readers compatible with the new system.
While this work is occurring (June 16-18), these devices will not be available.
