This area contains carrels equipped with computers and privacy panels, study tables wired to support laptop computers, and comfortable places to read and study. Additionally, this space offers a public service desk staffed by librarians and information technology staff. The Research and Study Wing provides access to The Tower, the Reading Room, and 20 Group Study Rooms.

A gift of $500,000, payable over five years, is requested to secure the naming of the Research and Study Wing. The donor's gift will be recognized by signs prominently displayed over the entrance of the wing, and a plaque within the wing.

The Tower ($500,000)

Located on the third floor of the Miller Learning Center's east wing, The Tower provides a quiet area of study for library patrons. The room's circular design, large windows, domed ceiling, and soft seating offer a comfortable and serene study environment. The Tower's elegant glass doors allow the room to be closed off from the adjacent Research and Study Wing, creating an attractive space for small receptions, readings, meetings, and other gatherings.

A gift of $500,000, payable over five years, is requested to secure the naming of The Tower. The donor's gift will be acknowledged by custom designed signs over the room's entrance, and a plaque within the study itself, attesting to the donor's support of the University of Georgia and the Libraries.
