Join the UGA Special Collections Libraries on Tuesday, September 23rd at 6pm for the induction of 2025 Georgia Writers Hall of Fame inductee Deborah Blum, celebrated author of The Poisoner’s Handbook (2010) and The Poison Squad (2018). Blum is a Pulitzer Prize-winning science writer, whose career in investigative science journalism began here at the University of Georgia, where she was a student reporter for The Red & Black.
Join the UGA Special Collections Libraries on Saturday, August 2nd at 1pm at the Athens-Clarke County Library for the induction of 2025 Georgia Writers Hall of Fame inductee Anthony "Tony" Grooms, celebrated author of Bombingham and The Vain Conversation. Grooms is an award-winning author, poet, and educator of creative writing for over 30 years.
Join the Special Collections Libraries on Thursday, September 18th at 5:15pm at Cine for a screening of David Zeiger's and Eric Mofford's documentary "Displaced in the New South". After the screening, Zeiger will participate in a panel with individuals featured in the documentary.
