Join members of the Carpentries@UGA for a full-day workshop that introduces participants to essential tools for reproducible scientific analysis using Unix and R. Through hands-on, collaborative lessons, participants will learn foundational skills such as navigating the command line, managing data, writing scripts, and working in RStudio. This workshop is designed for beginners and open to any student, faculty, or staff! 

Don't navigate your grief alone! Join us on April 28 from 2-3:30PM in MLC 369 to create a cross stitch keepsake in memory of a loved one or pet. Whether you want to share about your loss or simply create amongst others, this program is here to help you navigate grief through creativity. Professionals from the UGA Health Center will also be in attendance for support. No experience is necessary! 

Gear up for UGA's annual spring scrimmage by making your very own button! Select from a range of premade designs or bring your own (2.25 inches). Limit of 2 buttons per person.

The Colonnade is located outside on the east side of the building, near the security desk and Jittery Joes. 

Join us for an evening of scrapbooking and yapping on April 21 from 6-8:00PM! Paper and scrapbooking supplies will be provided, but please feel free to bring photos, journals, and other personal materials. This will be a low-stress environment, so come meet new folks and enjoy a night of scrapbooking and music! 

Update, remix, or reinvent historic board games! 

Join the UGA Special Collections Libraries and the UGA Libraries Student Success Team for a collaborative and creativity-fueled Board Game Jam on April 21st in MLC 369. Bring your imagination as we transform old board games from the UGA Special Collections Libraries into something entirely new.

The UGA Libraries and the Russell Scholars are hosting a debate on the impact of AI on students. Featuring the Georgia Debate Union, the affirmative/pro side of the debate will be AI tools encourage intellectual passivity rather than intellectual empowerment in undergraduate students.

This event is for UGA faculty, instructors, and graduate teaching assistants who teach evidence synthesis.

The Faculty Interest Group on Evidence Synthesis in the Classroom welcomes Dr. Terri Pigott, Professor at Georgia State University and nationally recognized expert in meta-analysis and evidence synthesis, for a lunchtime talk on teaching scoping and systematic reviews. Dr. Pigott is a 2023 Fellow of the American Educational Research Association, past President of the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology, and co-editor-in-chief of the journal Research Synthesis Methods.

The Department of Political Science invites guests to attend the George S. Parthemos Lecture featuring a lecture by Professor Jack Knight, Frederic Cleaveland Distinguished Professor of Law and Political Science at Duke University.
