Searching for Materials at the Russell Library  

The Russell Library provides information about its holdings online via the Russell Library Collections Finding Aids Database and University of Georgia’s GIL-Find Catalog. Russell Library collections are also searchable online via several non-UGA databases including ArchiveGrid and WorldCat, Selected digital materials are available via the Digital Library of Georgia and selected digital exhibits are available via the New Georgia Encyclopedia.

The Russell Library Collections Finding Aids Database is the best method for researchers to explore the Russell Library’s holdings. Researchers can search keywords across all open collections and browse collections by title or collection creator.  

UGA Libraries Catalog (GIL Find) 

The UGA Libraries Catalog is the best way for researchers to locate books and periodicals from Russell Library collections as well as books purchased by the Russell Library. Researchers can also locate entries for oral histories associated with collections or created by the Russell Library. General entries for Russell Library collections can be found here, but the Russell Library Collection Finding Aid Database is the best tool for detailed exploration.
