Pop-Up Exhibit, Crime & Punishment in Georgia

An exhibition curated by Dr. Steven Soper and the students enrolled in History 3775, Crime, Punishment, and Human Rights will be on display on Wednesday, May 3 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in Room 277 of the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries

This pop-up exhibit was developed in collaboration with the archivists of the Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies, the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, and the Walter J. Brown Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection during the 2017 spring semester. The student curators conducted research in the collections and selected materials from the University of Georgia Special Collections Libraries for display, to illuminate themes related to incarceration in Georgia during the twentieth century.

This exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information contact Jill Severn at 706-542-5766 or jsever@uga.edu
