The U.S. Senate Office of Richard B. Russell, Jr.

The U.S. Senate Office of Richard B. Russell, Jr. provides a representation of his Washington office that includes much of the original furniture, photographs, books, and memorabilia. The space conveys both a personal sense of the Senator Russell and of the wide-ranging activities, concerns, and responsibilities of a busy congressional office.

This representation of Senator Richard B. Russell’s U.S. Senate Office is made possible through the generosity of Charles E. Campbell (UGA ’64 and ’67) and Ann G. Campbell.

In 1965, Mr. Campbell accepted a position on the staff of Senator Richard B. Russell in Washington, D.C., where he served as a legislative assistant, executive secretary, and administrative assistant until the time of Senator Russell’s death in 1971. Mr. Campbell is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a Trustee of the Russell Foundation (Chairman, 1990-2007).
