Use of the Advanced Learning Labs for library research and/or academic instruction
The Advanced Learning Labs are reserved for use by the Libraries, EITS and CTL to provide research, instruction/tutoring, computing, and faculty development sessions for students and faculty. Examples of these uses may include:
- Library research instruction and tutoring sessions (both class specific and general);
- UNIV and library-partnered courses;
- Single session academic/course-related class use (e.g., research methods, testing, multi software use/projects);
- Single session or semester long academic tutoring (usually scheduled for evenings)
Labs are not typically reserved during finals and one week prior so that these computers can be used for finals preparation and study. Exceptions include research instruction and finals related academic requests.
Requests for use of an Advanced Learning Lab for library research and/or academic instruction sessions may be made using our online reservation form or by contacting Erin Leach at email@example.com or (706) 542-6196.
Use of the Advanced Learning Labs for outside departments or for non-academic sessions
The Advanced Learning Labs are typically not available for outside departmental use due to the volume of research and academic instruction sessions.
Outside departmental use (such as departmental training, staff education programs, conference related workshops, etc.) may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis, but requests can not be considered more than one month in advance. Long-term or all day use of the labs is especially difficult to accommodate.
