2019 Meeting of Georgia Depository Librarians

The 2019 meeting of Georgia Depository Librarians will be held on Friday, March 15th, at the University of Georgia's Main Library. Registration is free and open to all who are interested in government information. Please contact Valerie Glenn with any questions.

9:15AM – 10:15AM	Introductions, Regional Depository update, Updates from selective depository librarians
10:15AM – 10:30AM	Break
10:30AM – 11:30AM	Discussion – Collection management / Discard process
11:30AM – 1:00PM	Lunch
1:00PM – 2:15PM	GPO staff: GPO Update; Presentation on Preservation Steward Pilots
2:15PM - 2:30 PM	Break
2:30PM – 3:30 PM	Panel presentation – Outreach and Promotion for Depository Services and Collections
3:30PM	Adjourn

Parking:

Attendees should park in the North Campus Parking Deck. Parking passes (to leave the Deck without paying) will be given out at the start of the meeting.

Lodging and Dining:

The Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau maintains a list of hotels in the area.

This list of restaurants gives an idea as to the different kinds of meals available in downtown Athens. We'll also be organizing group outings to restaurants for those who want some company for lunch.
