History Lives! Showcase Gallery

The History Lives! Showcase Gallery features specially selected artifacts and other materials highlighting the Russell Library’s six key collecting areas: Politics, Social Relations, Economy, Environment, Peace and War, and the Public Good. The content rotates twice a year and offers visitors just a sample of the documents, objects, and artifacts found in the collections.

The most striking element of the History Lives! Showcase Gallery is Art Rosenbaum’s “Doors.” This mural—measuring thirty feet wide and more than eight feet high—depicts the story of modern Georgia politics from 1900 to the present.
