GIS Day@UGA

The University of Georgia will host its second annual GIS Day@UGA to showcase how students and faculty use geographic information system (GIS) technology to visualize, analyze and interpret data in teaching, research and outreach. The event will feature a keynote panel, lightning talks on real-world GIS applications, drone demonstrations, information on internship opportunities, and booths highlighting projects from diverse departments and organizations around campus and the local community. Light snacks and interactive activities will also be provided.

GIS Day@UGA is free and open to the public; all events will take place in the Main Library. Students, faculty, and staff who are interested in learning more about GIS and resources at UGA for spatial analysis are especially encouraged to attend.
