The Curriculum Materials Library is a full-service library and is part of the University of Georgia Libraries. Services include:

  • Help finding books. Learn to use GIL more effectively to find what you need in a flash.
  • Research Assistance. Get professional help finding articles and books for any research project, from a first-year essay to a dissertation, at the CML. If you’ve been working for more than half an hour and not getting what you need, ASK FOR HELP.
  • Research Appointments. If you need individual help with a research project, you can schedule one-on-one research help. Contact the Curriculum Materials & Education Librarian, Carla Wilson Buss, for an appointment.
  • Help with RefWorks. Gather citations into an online database of your creation with RefWorks. This free software package will also allow you to insert citations into your paper AND it will create your Works Cited list as you type. Learn more by making an appointment with Carla Wilson Buss (, Curriculum Materials & Education Librarian. Nadine Cohen (, in the Main Library, can assist with Endnote.
  • Public-access workstations. The CML has six PC workstations and one Mac for your computing needs.
  • Printing & Copying. Print and copy with your Bulldog Bucks card or with a purchased print card (available in the COE OIT office, 232 Aderhold and the Main & Science Libraries). Scanning is free, but does require the use of your Bulldog Bucks card.
  • Die-Cut Machine
  • Book Return. Return books you’ve borrowed from any University System of Georgia Library, including the Main, Science and Music Libraries of UGA at the CML. Materials are discharged and come off your account before they are shipped back to the owning Library.
  • GIL Express Delivery Point. When using GIL Express , have your materials delivered to the Curriculum Materials Library. You can also return GIL Express books here, too.
  • Repository Deliveries. Sometimes we run out of room for materials and they are sent to an off-campus storage facility. If you need something from there, you can make a Repository Request and have the materials delivered to the CML.
  • Faculty ONLY: Request materials to be delivered from the Main & Science Libraries. Deliveries are made to the CML for faculty in Aderhold. River’s Crossing & Ramsey faculty may request delivery directly to their offices.
  • Proxy Cards: Faculty may designate someone to retrieve materials for them by creating a Proxy Account. We can do that here in the CML.
  • Reserve Materials. Instructors wishing to put materials on reserve can do so at the CML. Contact Jason Matherly (, CML Coordinator, for more information.
