Self-Guided Tours
The self-guided tour allows visitors to tour on their schedule, using our Capitol tour brochure. Self-guided tours are available Monday through Friday, from 8 am – 5 pm. The building is closed on weekends and state holidays.
The building’s entrance is located on Mitchell Street.
Self-guided tours are required for groups of less than 10 people. While groups of less than 10 are not permitted to join guided tours, they may access the same tour areas as guided tour groups.
Self-guided tours are an option for larger groups, as well. It is suggested that large student groups be broken down into groups of approximately 10 with a leader while participating in self-guided tours.
There is no reservation required to take a self-guided tour; however, groups of 25 or more are asked to call the Tour Desk at 404-463-4536 prior to their visit.
Self-guided brochures are usually available at the Capitol Tour Desk, but it is suggested you print your own, especially if your group will need more than two copies.
