Covered With Glory: Football at UGA, 1892-1917

Rarely seen artifacts and photographs from UGA’s earliest gridiron heroes tell the story of the formative years of UGA’s football program in a new exhibit in the Russell Special Collections Libraries Rotunda.

Free guided tours are offered each Friday before home games.

The Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries, 300 S. Hull St., is open 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, and 1pm-5pm on Saturdays (closed on all home football game days).  Admission is free and open to the general public.

Open House for Graduate Students

Are you a new or returning graduate student?

The UGA Libraries are holding open houses especially for you on Monday, August 7 between 2:00-4:00 pm.

Meet your librarians, learn about key online resources and borrowing privileges, and tour the buildings. Librarians will be available to answer questions and demonstrate research tools including the new GIL-Find catalog, GALILEO system of databases, and citation management tools EndNote and RefWorks.

"From Georgia to California and Back: The Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of Southern Gold Mining"

Dr. Drew Swanson, professor of history at Wright State University, will speak on "From Georgia to California and Back: The Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of Southern Gold Miining" in conjunction with the exhibit "Gold-digging in Georgia: America’s First Gold Rush." A reception will follow.
