- February 17, 2012: Grand Opening!
The Richard B. Russell Building, new home of the Special Collections Libraries, is now open to researchers wishing to use the Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library and the Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies.
The Walter J. Brown Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection is also open to the public, although some collections are not yet available due to the move.
