Meteor showers! Nebula! Constellations! Learn about these and other celestial events at the Science Library's new exhibit on observing the winter sky. Our multimedia exhibit highlights related books from the library collections, presents article excerpts, and provides illustrations of key concepts in astronomy. Also featured in the display are some helpful tools for appreciating the night sky: a telescope, binoculars, a lunar globe from the Maps Library, and several books on amateur astronomy, penned by and on loan from UGA's faculty Michael Covington.
