Program Partners

Russell Library curatorial intern, Tricia Sung played a central and invaluable role in the development of the Russell Library part of the exhibit.  She conducted extensive archival and secondary research and participated in the conceptualization of the exhibit script.  Russell Library staff Craig Breaden and Christian Lopez, working in concert with James Benyshek of the Walter J. Brown Media Archives produced the multimedia compilations of relevant historical news footage and oral history interviews from the Russell and the Media Archives Collections.

Russell Library exhibits reflect the mission and collection strengths of Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies. The Library maintains an active exhibits program as a complement to its research, public programs, and instruction program. Measuring Deliberate Speed is enriched by materials on loan from the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library and historic film footage from the WSB Film Collection of the Walter J. Brown Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection and the Foot Soldier Project for Civil Rights Studies at the University of Georgia.
