Many primary sources located in both Special Collections and the general collection can be found in the Libraries online catalog GIL@UGA. When searching in GIL you can isolate primary sources from the general collections using several approaches:
Finding Primary Sources by Item Type within Special Collections (archives, manuscripts, photographs)
Finding Primary Sources by Location (Hargrett Library, Russell Library, Media Archives, Map Library
Finding Primary Sources using Specialized Terms (diaries, letters, government documents)
These methods for finding primary sources are only a starting point and many primary sources in the library are not listed in GIL. Staff in special collections departments and at the reference desk can help you locate more material.
