Got your call numbers already? This section will get you
to your items.
Every item in the library is given a unique call number. The call
number appears on the record for that item in GIL and it's also
pasted on the item itself. The call number tells you the exact location
of the item in the library. [How
to read call numbers.] The GIL record will also tell you which
library it is in, what floor it is on and whether or not it is checked
out.

GIL
record for a journal
GIL
records for journals will look similar, except they will also have
'holdings' information, telling you which issues of the journal
we own.

Sometimes
the GIL record will show that an item is held at the Repository,
an off campus warehouse in Athens where rarely used library items
are kept. You can still retrieve these items; just fill out a form
online or at the checkout desk and they will be brought back to
the library for your use by the next business day.
