Using PsycINFO to Find Articles

Getting the article online from PsycINFO

You are almost there! You used good search strategy to find a list of results called citations. Now to get to the article!

Full text online articles from PsycINFO
Some of the citations will have links to full text online articles such as the citation below.

Clicking on Linked Full Text will go to a web (html) version of the article. While this web version will have the full text, it will often not have any pictures, charts, and other graphics from the article. Sometimes at the top of this online article will be a PDF Full Text link as shown below.

Clicking on the PDF Full Text link will pull up a copy of the article, including graphics. The web (html) version of the article is easier to read online while the PDF version is easier to read once it is printed. Printing a PDF is like printing a photocopy of the article. Due to the large file size of PDF format it may take longer to print and the printer may have problems with some graphics. If this occurs consider using the print version of the journal as described in Locating print journals.

Note: PsycINFO includes full text from about 70 of the 1700 journals that it indexes. But the UGA Libraries subscribe to over 18,000 online journals! The Electronic Journal Locator (EJL) will provide links to the online journals the UGA Libraries subscribe to.
