The advanced search allows combined keywords, authors, dates, and lots of useful limits as shown below.
Important features of the Advanced Search:

The Advanced search is like the Basic standard search--words side by side are searched as a phrase. To combine keywords:
Use "And" to find articles with both keywords in any order Example: identity and development (narrows a search)Use "Or" to find articles with one or more similar terms
Example: adolescen* or teen* or youth (broadens search) - The Advanced search allows searching for variations on a word by typing the root word then "*". Example: teen* will find: teen, teens, teenager, teenagers, etc.

Note: The more limits you place on a search the more narrow the search becomes--and the less articles you will find. If you don't find enough articles remove some of the limits.
