Getting to PsycINFO

    PsycINFO is one of the many article databases paid for by the UGA Libraries and made available on GALILEO. An easy way to get to PsycINFO is to go to the the Social Sciences tab of GALILEO (www.galileo.usg.edu) then chose the Psychology database menu (see image below).

    Pick PsycINFO from the list of Try these first databases at the top of the page or from the alphabetical list (see image below).

    Practice getting to PsycINFO
    1. Go to GALILEO (www.galileo.usg.edu)
    2. Place your mouse on the Social Sciences tab.
    3. Click on Psychology from the menu.
    4. Click on PsycINFO from the Try these first list at the top.

    Note: If you are off campus you will need to see: Off campus access to PsycINFO

    Bookmarking a direct link to PsycINFO

    PC users can right-click on the link above and add it as a Bookmark or Favorite. Mac users can open their Edit Bookmarks or Open Favorites window and drag the link into that window to add it.

    Off campus access to PsycINFO
    PsycINFO is a subscription GALILEO database with off campus password access. UGA students and faculty may obtain a free password for off-campus access to GALILEO from GIL by following the steps below.

    1. Connect to GIL at http://gil.uga.edu.
    2. Click the Your Account button.
    3. Type your UGA Libraries barcode number (from the back of your UGA Card) and your last name.
    4. Click Logon to get to information about your account.
    5. On the "Your Account" screen, click the Request button at the top of the screen.
    6. On the "Request" screen, you will see "GALILEO password: ___"
    7. Use the GALILEO homepage or direct link as described above and GALILEO will prompt you for the password.

      Passwords are changed at the start of each semester.
