Why use a statistic?

Use a statistic to support research, a hypothesis, or point of view.

How do I find a statistic?

Option 1: Use an online source:

Option 2: Use GIL to find books containing statistics

  1. Choose the Keyword Search option.
  2. Type "statistic?" and key words (the "?" finds "statistics", "statistical"...)
  3. Select a Keyword (Title/Subject) search
  4. Click on the Search button [Show me...]

This type of search can only be done effectively using the Keyword Search option in GIL.
