It's music to my ears...

Ask Us

Why use a sound recording?

Sound recordings can include music, speech, environmental sounds, etc.

How do I find a sound recording?

  • The Media Department holds the Libraries' video and record album collections, Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection.
  • The UGA Libraries Music Collection holds music CDs. Most of the music collection can be found in the library catalog GIL.
    1. From the GIL home page choose the Keyword

      option.
    2. Search using the word "recording?" (the "?" finds "recording" or "recordings") and other keywords as a Keyword Anywhere search [Show me...]

  • AltaVista Search Engine (click on Audio tab) for online audio and music.
