Why use literary criticism?

Literary criticism provides analysis, description, evaluation, or interpretation of literary works.

How do I find literary criticism?

Option 1: Use GALILEO@UGA databases to find literary criticism in journals and books:

[GALILEO off-campus password]

Option 2: To find literary criticism in books use the library catalog GIL

  1. From the GIL home page choose the Keyword Search option
  2. Search using the word "criticism" and the author's last name or other such keywords as a Keyword (Title/Subject) search [Show me...]

This type of search can only be done effectively using the Keyword Search option in GIL.
