Ask Us

Why use books?

Books often provide background or in depth coverage of a subject. But information in books is usually not as current as information in articles or in web sites.

How do I find books?

  • Use GIL to find millions of print books in the UGA Libraries [Show me...]
  • Use the GIL Universal Catalog to search for books throughout many libraries in Georgia. You can request a book to be sent to you from any of these libraries. [Show me...]
  • Search Worldcat to find records for books from thousands of major libraries worldwide.
  • Use our E-Books page to access thousands of online, full-text books.
  • Search Google Books to find information about many thousands of books. Some are available online in full text.
