Formed by the consolidation of the two clearinghouses that compiled the data for the Child Abuse, Child Welfare & Adoption Database - the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information and the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse - the Child Welfare Information Gateway is a service of the Children's Bureau within the Administration for Children and Families of the Department of Health and Human Services.
