Anthropological Literature indexes articles in periodicals, monograph series, and edited works in archaeology, biological and physical anthropology, cultural and social anthropology and linguistics, and selectively in such related fields as: art, botany, demography, economics, ethno-history, folklore, genetics, geography, geology, history, music, mythology, political science, psychology, religion, sociology. Articles of two or more pages in length are included.

The database includes works held in the Tozzer Library (formerly the Peabody Museum Library) at Harvard University. It is the online version of the quarterly print publication, Anthropological Literature. Produced by the RLG Information Center and the Tozzer Library, Harvard University.

• Arte Público Hispanic Historical Collections Series 1 presents a digital collection of historical content pertaining to U.S. Hispanic history, literature and culture. This collection accurately conveys the creative life of U.S. Hispanics and sheds new light on the intellectual vigor and traditional values that have characterized Hispanics from the earliest moments of American history through 1960. Arte Público Hispanic Historical Collection draws its content from Recovering the U.S. Hispanic Literary Heritage Project, including the complete texts of over 1,100 books, 60,000 articles, newspapers, reviews, religious and political pamphlets, poems, and short stories. About 80% of the content is in Spanish.

For scholars of English literature, particular attention has been paid to the Renaissance period. All the most significant texts are included from the Tyndale to the King James and the highly influential Coverdale, Bishops' and Geneva Bibles. For researchers in the development of the English language, texts from all eras are included, with emphasis on versions that closely represent its contemporary state. For biblical and theological scholars, texts from the Protestant, Roman Catholic and non-conformist traditions are represented.

The texts were selected under the guidance of the Editorial Board (Professors Gerald Hammond of the University of Manchester and Sylvia Adamson of the University of Cambridge) with the aim of providing a balanced collection of editions covering the whole chronological period and appealing to scholars of of different disciplines.

The Index of Christian Art Database contains a portion of the Index's back files and all works electronically indexed by the archive since 1991. The database is both text and image. As works from the backfiles are electronically indexed, they will become available in the database. Reference to more than 1000 works of art are added each year.
