The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) is an independent organization that provides third-party audited statements of circulation for newspapers and periodicals. ABC's credible data is vital for media organizations and advertising agencies.

The library subscription allows access to reports covering the past three years. The database is searchable by title, parent company, market area, classification, circulation size, and ABC member number.

American Historical Newspapers provides cover-to-cover digital reproductions of hundreds of historic newspapers with complete text-searching capabilities. The collection is based on Clarence Brigham's "History and Bibliography of American Newspapers, 1690-1820," supplemented by newspaper holdings from numerous other institutions and historical societies such as the Boston Athenaeum, the Connecticut Historical Society, the Connecticut State Library, the Library Company of Philadelphia, the Library of Congress, the libraries of universities such as Brown and Harvard, and private collections. The Libraries have access to segment 1 of this collection as well as additional newspapers from South Carolina.

This database is a subset of the America's Historical Newspapers database.

eBooks at EBSCOhost, formerly known as NetLibrary, provides access to electronic books (eBooks), including reference books, scholarly monographs, publications of many university presses, and consumer books that have been converted into digital format. It is possible to perform full-text searches of a single eBook, search thousands of volumes simultaneously, browse topic categories, or read eBooks directly online. There is currently no checkout period for eBooks (at EBSCOhost).

Users can create a My EBSCOhost account in order to use personalization tools, including creating a Favorites list, but a personal account is not required for accessing eBooks through the GALILEO interface.

Microfilm remains the best format for preservation, and microfilming of Georgia newspapers will continue for the foreseeable future. Digital technology, however, offers many advantages for access. In a digital environment newspapers can be viewed from remote locations by multiple users, and the newspaper texts can be searchable. The goal of the Georgia Historic Newspaper Database is to convert every Georgia newspaper to digital format and to make this resource available free of charge as a searchable text database in GALILEO. Searchable text files of Georgia newspapers are generated in two ways. Whenever possible, scanned images of microfilmed newspaper pages are run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. This results in a full-text file in which every word is searchable. For older newspapers whose microfilmed images are of poorer quality, OCR is not effective, but selected portions of these newspapers have been transcribed by hand to allow somewhat more limited searching. At least two paragraphs of all articles containing local or state news as well as the basic content of advertisements have been included in the transcriptions. For articles whose content does not deal with Georgia, only the headlines have been transcribed. All newspaper texts, whether generated through OCR or by human transcription, are marked up in Standard Generalzed Markup Language (SGML) to permit more sophisticated searching (e.g., limiting a search to a specific newspaper issue, article, or headline.) Although not every word of every newspaper is searchable, every word is available for viewing. Each page of digitized newsprint can be viewed as an electronic facsimile of the original, including all advertisements and illustrations.

Data on product buying behavior and media habits of a sample of U.S. adult consumers (approximately 27,000). The most recent sample is typically between 1 and 1.5 years old. This database lets you create customized charts by cross-tabbing consumer demographics and product purchasing and media usage. Additionally, many products have brand level product purchasing data available.
