The database includes works held in the Tozzer Library (formerly the Peabody Museum Library) at Harvard University. It is the online version of the quarterly print publication, Anthropological Literature. Produced by the RLG Information Center and the Tozzer Library, Harvard University.

A list of 'Further Reading' at the end of each entry, includes review articles and key papers. A cross-referencing 'Related Topics' section directs the reader to other entries within the encyclopedia which contain additional information.

  • The Chemical Abstracts database contains documents from journals, patents, conference proceedings, dissertations, technical papers, and books going back to 1967 and covering all fields of chemistry, including physical, analytical, inorganic, applied, macromolecular, organic, and biochemistry.
    
  • The MEDLINE database indexes biomedical literature back to 1958.
    
  • The CAS Registry provides structure diagrams, names, molecular formulas, and more for specific substances, including organic compounds, biosequences, coorination compounds, polymers, alloys, and tabular inorganics.

• Impact factor: Provides a way to evaluate or compare a journal's relative importance to others in the same field.
