Online Access: On/Off Campus- The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species provides taxonomic, conservation status and distribution information on taxa that have been evaluated using the IUCN Red List Categories (designed to determine the relative risk of extinction). The main purpose of the IUCN Red List is to catalogue and highlight those taxa that are facing a higher risk of global extinction. Online Access: On/Off Campus- This site was developed to provide easily-accessible information about the county-level distribution of all tiger beetle species in continental North America. Although numerous subspecies and tiger beetle races have been named and described, we have limited this site to species. Characteristic specimens of each species have been photographed from the dorsal and lateral view. However, considerable variation in adult color and elytral markings exist.

NABA has been instrumental in maintaining environments for the endangered Schaus' Swallowtail in Florida and contributed to developing a long term survival plan for Monarchs, and developing educational programs about butterflies for schools and park rangers and naturalists.
