The Foundation Directory Online Professional from the Foundation Center provides information on over 100,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the United States. The Foundation Directory Online includes a searchable database of more than 2.4 million recently awarded grants plus a database of recently filed IRS 990 forms. Grantmakers and grants are searchable by name, geographic region, fields of interest, recipient type, support type, grant amount, and names of trustees and officers. Additional content includes listings of recently announced RFPs and a variety of targeted Foundation Center newsletters (i.e., Education Funding Watch).

Never solicit a corporate or private foundation without first receiving clearance from either the Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP) or the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR). The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations within the Division of External Affairs is responsible for managing relationships with corporations and private foundations and focusing on increasing the amount of corporate and private foundation support made to the University of Georgia. In situations where a solicitation is issued, and you are submitting through The Office for Sponsored Programs, OSP will work with CFR to obtain clearance.
