The Modules
Each of the four module links below provides a menu of links to short screencapture demonstrations, PDF guides (Icon for PDF guides in the modules) and module-oriented quizzes in new browser windows. The captions in the demonstrations are dubbed. If you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to read the PDF guides, you may download it here. To view the demonstrations, you will need a Flash player. Download it from here. Also, Java Runtime Environment is used to power parts of this web site. If you have disabled it on your computer, please re-enable it. If you do not have it, download it here.

Module 1 demonstrates how to register for a RefWorks account, displays the RefWorks menu items, and shows you how to create and delete folders. Folders are used to organize the references in your RefWorks account (database).

Module 2 demonstrates three methods for transferring references from catalogs and databases in GALILEO into your RefWorks account.

Module 3 introduces you to several ways to manage your references.

Module 4 demonstrates the Write-N-Cite feature of RefWorks beginning with its download and installation to using it to cite references and create a bibliography.

It is recommended that you complete Module 1, Module 2 and Module 4. Module 3 contains several techniques to capitalize on RefWorks features. These definitely come in handy after you are familiar with the basic features.

Remember: The logos at the top of this page will link to those locations so you can begin using RefWorks as soon as you learn more about it!
