Obtain a library account
If you are off campus and are unable to physically visit the Libraries, you’ll need to have the Department of Access Services create a library account for you and give you a barcode number. With the barcode number, you’ll be able to check out books, access e-reserves, check the status of the books you have checked out, and make Interlibrary Loan requests for materials from other libraries.

Password for UGA Databases
In order to access University of Georgia licensed databases from off-campus, you will need the current password. The password is available to currently enrolled students, UGA faculty and staff. To obtain the password:
- Go the password page.
- Enter either your 16 digit UGA Card barcode number or switch the drop down box to Social Security Number. Type in your barcode or SS number, last name, and click Logon.
