Please note:
- This request form may only be used by University of Georgia Distance Learning students. Your enrollment in a distance learning class will be verified before your request is filled.
The form is for articles that the Libraries own ONLY IN PRINT:
- Be sure to check to see if your article is available electronically in any of our databases by first going to the E-journal Locator.
- If no electronic version is available, click on the link to GIL-The UGA Libraries Catalog from the e-journal search result screen to see what volumes the Libraries own in print.
- If the Libraries do not own the item you need, use the Interlibrary Loan form: http://illiad.libs.uga.edu/illiad/Logon.html

How do I know if the item I need is an article or a book?
Article citations have volume numbers and pages like this example:
“Fighting Diabetes.” State Legislatures 34:2 (March 2008): p. 10-12.
[This indicates volume 34, issue 2.]
How long will it take?
Articles will be e-mailed to you within one week, excluding weekends and holidays. When necessary, we will mail the article directly to you.
How do I request a book?
You can use the GIL Express service to request books from other schools in the University System of Georgia. It usually takes 4-5 business days.
