Art Library at Lamar Dodd
Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: Closed
A branch of UGA’s library system, the Art Library serves the Lamar Dodd School of Art and the university community-at-large and is open to the public. While the Art Library is too small to house the bulk of the fine arts collection, it does hold current art periodicals, a rotating cast of new books, course reserves, a reference section, a media collection and a zine library. Daily library delivery allows students and faculty to request and return books from other libraries, including the entire fine arts collection, on campus here at the Dodd. The Art Library is also the central resource for images and imaging technologies used by instructors and students at the Dodd for teaching and studying purposes. The Art Library maintains an image database that includes art historical images, student and faculty work, and installation views of Dodd Galleries exhibitions. The Art Library also maintains group study rooms, two public computer work stations and a flatbed scanner.
The nearest publicly available parking is in the Performance Arts Center Parking Deck (Rates and more info)
