LegalTrac is a search interface to descriptions of almost 1.5 million articles in about 875 legal journals and news sources reviewed annually by a special advisory committee of the American Association of Law Libraries. It is made available to all UGA users through funding from the Alexander Campbell King Law Library.
After performing a search a tabbed display distinguishes the academic journal results from the magazine and news articles. Publication Search provides information about the individual journals and allows browsing the contents of a specific journal by date. You can also approach a topic using the Subject Guide Search, which will give a breakdown of broader terms into subdivisions and may suggest useful associations between related terms. Results may be printed, emailed, saved to disk or exported to bibliographic management software.
LegalTrac includes direct links to online full text articles for a subset of journals. For the others, each search result has a link to the GAVEL catalog for determining its availability in print at the Law Library. For users with Law Library accounts the WebBridge link enables linking to articles in other full text sources. Other users can determine online availability by clicking the Ejournals feature on the Main Library home page.
