Thanks to collaboration between the Digital Library of Georgia and the
University of Georgia's Selig Center for Economic Growth, over a
half-century of extensive statistical data have been added to the
Georgia Government Publications database. The Georgia Statistical Abstract (1951-2007) contains many statistical tables of data
collected from Georgia state agencies.
Each volume of the Georgia Statistical Abstract features over 400
pages of tables in pdf format covering topics such as:
- business enterprise
- labor, employment, and earnings
- income and wealth
- manufactures, agriculture, and banking
- construction and housing
- population
- vital statistics and health
- education
- law enforcement and courts
- geography, climate, and environment
- natural resources
Access to a digitized version of this valuable reference source will
provide researchers with a wealth of statistical information
previously unavailable online.
