The GIL Express system allows patrons at all University System of Georgia schools to borrow books from other schools in that system. The request system for GIL Express is much like the on-campus delivery system with some key differences.
First, go to the GIL Universal Catalog to log into your library account. You can access your account by clicking on the link the arrow is pointing to.
The next screen you see will prompt you to enter your information. This time, however, additional information is required. You will need to indicate which university you attend by selecting from the pull down menu that the arrow is pointing to.
After that, simply fill in your information as described in the on-campus delivery instructions.
Once you have logged in, you can request items for delivery. Go to the record for the item you want to have delivered and click on the "Place GIL-Express Request" link that the arrow is pointing to.
Once you click on that, it will give you a screen where you can request where you want the item to be sent. Click on the pull-down menu and select "Music Library Circulation Desk."
Once you have done that, simply hit the "Submit Request" button.
You can check on your requests by going to your library account and clicking on the "Requests" button. You'll see your pending requests and any requests that have been delivered.
You'll also be able to see how many items you have checked out and renew them when you go to your library account and click on the "Checked Out Items" button.
