However, special permission is being granted to teachers of Kindergarten through grade 12 to borrow materials only from the Peabody Awards Collection for classroom use.
Facilities.
In the Media Department on the seventh floor of the Ilah Dunlap Little Memorial Library on the North Campus of the University of Georgia, there are individual stations for viewing Peabody materials. Each station can accommodate one or two persons at a time. All Media Archives facilities are open to the general public. No unsupervised persons under the age of 17 may use the Media Department facilities.
For teachers who may wish to bring their classes to the University of Georgia campus to view Peabody Awards Collection materials, there are two locations in the Media Department for group viewing:
During peak use times, UGA students and faculty receive priority.
Special borrowing privileges for K-12 teachers.
Kindergarten through grade 12 teachers may borrow up to three (3) videorecordings at one time from the Peabody Awards Collection for educational or classroom use only. Teachers must present a current and valid identification that includes a picture of the borrower. Videorecordings must be returned within 24 hours of checkout or by closing on the days when the Media Department closes early. Videorecordings must be returned to the Media Department on the seventh floor of the Main Library and not left in the book drop. Do not leave a videorecording in your car or in the sun! Failure to return the videorecordings cancels any further borrowing privileges and the following will be applied as necessary:
