Highlights of Georgia's Filmed History

       In conjunction with the University of Georgia Libraries' celebration of Archives Week, the Walter J. Brown Media Archives is proud to present a special screening:
"The Highlights of Georgia's Filmed History"

Please join us in Main Library room B-2
on Tuesday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m.
The screening will last approximately 90 minutes.

The program will include:

- Franklin Delanor Roosevelt receiving an honorary degree from the University of Georgia

- Scenes from the 1965 Mrs. Georgia Pageant

- An accidentally hilarious 1971 interview with James Brown, conducted by a reporter from Savannah's WJCL-TV

- Comments by Dean William Tate on the topic of school integration

- Folk music

- Scenes from south Georgia farms as they were in the thirties and forties

- And much more!
