JACKSON FAMILY HOME MOVIE COLLECTION

8mm film from 1946-1964

Dr. Gail Jackson and his family lived in Vincennes, Indiana. In the summer of 1947, the Jacksons visited the Grand Canyon and Wyoming in 1948. For both trips, the Jacksons traveled via Route 66.

This clip shows Jackson, the Tetons, a dude ranch meal, and Yellowstone Park. Two reels include rare color footage of fitness enthusiast Bernarr Macfadden. Youngest son, Fred Jackson, whom lived in Athens, Georgia, donated his father's original films and the Keystone camera that made them to us in 2007.
