ART CHIMES COLLECTION

Radio program from 1927-1987 on ¼" open reel and audiocassette.

The collection consists primarily of ¼" open reel recordings containing over 3100 radio programs taped off-air. Programs include: That Was the Week That Was; Frontier Gentleman; G.I. Journal; The Cavalcade of America; Studio One; The Third Man, etc. All titles are listed in finding aid.

Art Chimes is a journalist at the Voice of America, with more than 30 years at the U.S. international broadcasting service. From 2004 to 2010, he was the producer and host of Our World, a weekly radio program on science, technology, health, and the environment. He holds degrees from New York University (BA) and the University of Georgia (JD).
