Community Services
LSA is always looking for volunteers to help with our community service activities which include: collecting supplies for the Athens Tutorial Program, fundraising for local animal charities, and sponsoring holiday gifts through the Joyce Ervin Open Hearts Center.
Events Planning
Some of the annual events hosted by LSA are: the ASSET Awards Ice Cream Social, Library Staff Art Exhibit, Student Appreciation Luncheon, and Thanksgiving Luncheon. Click here to learn more.
Fundraising
We would be unable to support such a wide variety programs if not for our fundraisers. Each year we hold a Spring and Fall Book Sale, Valentine's Day Flower Sale, LSA Dues Drive, and Staff Cookbook Sale.
Staff Services
In addition to the activities listed above, we also offer the following services to UGA Libraries staff: staff recognition of personal events, handling of formal grievances, book ordering, and the archiving of the oral and written history of the UGA Libraries.
