In an effort to foster a sense of camaraderie and community amongst Libraries staff, the LSA sponsored bowling team, the GV903s, was formed this fall and entered into competition in a bowling league at Kingpins Bowl & Brew. The team is composed of volunteers from the Libraries staff and no consideration was given to bowling skill or experience; the goal of the team is to have fun, not necessarily to dominate the competition. The team name was chosen because the Library of Congress call number for bowling is a unique and fun way to identify the Libraries staff amongst the business and student groups who have teams in the Kingpins league; taking the call number designation for bowling as the team name shows the pride that the members of the GV903s have in representing the Libraries.
