Library Staff Art Exhibit
Every year LSA coordinates an exhibit of artwork by the Libraries' staff and faculty. This exhibit is nonjuried and is meant to showcase the diverse talents, hobbies, and interests of the Libraries' staff and faculty. Examples of artwork included in past shows: calligraphy, computer & digital art, drawings, handmade books, knitting, crocheting, sewing, lino & hand prints, mixed media, paintings, photographs, poetry, quilting, embroidery, cross stitch, sculpture/pottery/ceramic, stained glass, woodworking.

Student Appreciation Luncheon
The Student Appreciation Luncheon is an opportunity for LSA to say thank you on behalf of the UGA Libraries to the many student workers it employs. This event is typically held in April of each year and is coordinated by Asia Hall, asia@uga.edu
Ice Cream Social
Each year, as temperatures begin to rise, LSA hosts an Ice Cream Social for the Libraries, with delicious cold treats-including Tofutti-and toppings galore. This event is held in May and is coordinated by Asia Hall, asia@uga.edu
ASSET Awards
Begun in 1992, the ASSET Awards Program (Acknowledging Staff, Skills, Effort and Time) is designed to provide recognition for the outstanding contributions that are made in the Libraries each year. Nominations are accepted from any employee and may be made to recognize any other employee whether they be a colleague, a supervisor, a department head, or even self-recognition.

If you have ideas or questions, contact one of your colleagues on the ASSET Awards Committee: Craig Breaden, Zachary Bucek, Kat Hart, Kat Leache, Megan Lillie, Cynthia Prosser, Sarah Schuibbeo, Renna Tuten and Leigh Ann Vey. Gilbert Head, Mandy Mastrovita and Diane Trap consult in an ex officio capacity, while Florence King and Jean Cleveland serve as consultants from administration.
Thanksgiving Luncheon
LSA's annual Thanksgiving Luncheon is a way for Library staff to get together, feast on delicious, homemade goodies, and enjoy each others company. This event is held annually on the Thursday preceding the Thanksgiving holiday and is coordinated by Asia Hall, asia@uga.edu
