The GV903s finished FIRST in the Spring League. Congratulations are due to all bowlers who competed this season: Byron Smith, Ed Hatfield, Tom Frieling, Danny Bridges, Rachel Parnell, Deb Raftus and Michael Hervey. Look for photos of the winning match on the GV903 website as well as a trophy to be delivered in due time!
Interested in joining the squad for the Summer League? Kingpins expects to begin summer bowling around July 2. Bowling night will be Monday or Tuesday night (TBD), and begins at 6:30pm and lasts until 8:45-9:00'ish pm. We play at Kingpins Bowl & Brew in the Homewood Hills Shopping Center. Libraries Position Postings:
New Employee Verification Program
All public employers, including institutions in the University System of Georgia, are required to participate in the Federal Electronic Employment Verification Program (EEVP) effective July 1, 2007. This means that UGA HR will become the central repository for completed Form I-9s for all UGA employees including faculty, staff, temporary employees, and student workers.
Because this is a verification process, it will require that newly hired faculty, staff, temporary employees, and student workers MAY NOT report to work until Human Resources has verified employment eligibility through the federal EEVP. Any offers must be made contingent upon completed and verified information required on the I-9 form.
Libraries Human Resouces are in the process of determining the most efficient workflow for getting the information from the employees to UGAHR and from UGAHR back to us when the person has been verified. We hope to have something to you before the end of the fiscal year.
We will be discussing this in DHG on June 27th and getting information out to all supervisors either via grapevine or in meetings if necessary.
