Libraries Events

Buy Books, Support UGA Libs

The UGA Libraries are participating in the Barnes and Noble Book Fair the week of June 3-9 . A voucher, which will provide the Libraries with a portion of the sale, is available on the development homepage at: http://www.libs.uga.edu/development/index.html

Libraries Book Club

Jason Hasty , LSA president, and Anne Devine (both Hargrett residents) are organizing a book club for Libraries staff. The first meeting is set for June 5 at noon; a location will be announced later. Carson McCullers' The Heart is a Lonely Hunter is the first selection. Anyone willing to lead a discussion of this classic, or to suggest future selections, contact Jason (hasty@uga.edu) or Anne (acme@uga.edu). Information will be available on the LSA website (linked at right).

Knitting Club

The "Knitting" Club meets every Friday after work (5ish) on the second level of Starbucks.  And you don't even have to knit!  Anyone with craft-ish projects is welcome. People have seen knitting, crocheting, and even armorsmithing!

Bowling news

For info on the GV903s, visit the bowling team website. The team, with a stranglehold on first place in the league, takes a break from play next week, but is usually in action at Kingpins Bowl and Brew Mondays at 6:30 p.m.
