Kudos

The New Georgia Encyclopedia is the 2005 recipient of the Schwartz Prize. This award is made annually by the Federation of State Humanities Councils in two categories: projects and initiatives made possible by Council grant making and projects and initiatives undertaken directly by a Council. The NGE won in the latter category. The NGE editorial staff is based at the Main Library, and the UGA Libraries and its employees have contributed to the NGE in numerous ways. Congratulations to all involved!

Laura Shedenhelm's arcticle"Revolutions on the Radio: People and Issues Related to Revolutionary Movements in Latin America, Audio Gleanings from the Peabody Awards Collection." appears in Trends and Traditions in Latin American and Caribbean History: Papers of the Forty-Seventh Annual Meeting of the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials, Cornell University, June 1-4, 2002.
