Installing Your UGA Endnote Filters

Endnote filters sometimes do not transfer your search results of GALILEO-UGA licensed databases from your saved text files into your Endnote library because the filters shipped with Endnote utilize other proprietary information service providers -- GALILEO is our information service provider in Georgia.

To expedite transfer of the saved text files from our scholarly resources, you should install the appropriate GALILEO filters in your Endnote.

Install instructions

Click once on the filter link at Database Instructions & Filter/Connection Downloads to get a pop-up window (Mac - download manager will open). Save each filter in Endnote's Filters folder.

PC - Save to C:\ProgramFiles\Endnote\Filters folder

Mac - Save to harddrive\Applications\Endnote\Filters folder

When you are ready to transfer (import) your saved search results,
1. open your Endnote library
2. click File/Import
3. in Import window, click Choose File and select the .txt file which you saved to your computer. File name will appear in the Import Data File window
4. for Import Option, click downarrow and select Other Filters to go to the Filters Manager; press the G key to jump to GALILEO-prefixes and select appropriate filter. Once used, a filter will appear in your "favorites" in the downarrow view.
5. click Import
